Don’t mind the changes

Yeah, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. I really did switch the theme to TwentyTwelve. My motivation for doing so was mainly because the original site theme was getting very long in the tooth — eh, that’s an understatement. The old theme was 6 years old and was last updated (visually) 4 years ago so it really needed to go.

Anyway, if you’re a frequent visitor then you’ve probably noticed the site randomly going down. That was me attempting to convert the Manga+Press site to WordPress MS while running Nginx (the switch to Nginx actually happened a while back). That turned out to be a pain to configure considering that I was running WP in a subdirectory. Sigh. Well, that’s done (finally) and we have a new, not quite complete, demo site in the bargain. Yes, if you want to view a frontend demo of how Manga+Press works, you can view the Manga+Press Demo Site.

Also, you’re not imagining things: I did have two or three posts up originally that outlined releases for Manga+Press 2.8.3 and 2.9.0-beta.4. Those posts were lost during the transition to Multisite. Essentially, moral of the story: back up your database.

In the meantime, there are more updates coming, the least of which is the release of Manga+Press 2.9!
